New Music Hub in Harrisburg, PA? The Next New Artists Hub & Why. The Artist’s Guide to Success in the Music Business – TAG2nd Music Biz Blog Video.

New Music Hub in Harrisburg, Pa? COME ON???!!!???

On Wednesday, November 13th, 2013, I launched The Artist’s Guide to Success in the Music Business starting off with a national press release to get the book off the ground. A week later, with the help of Triad Strategies in Harrisburg, PA, another Press Release was locally sent out and about in Harrisburg, PA talking about the potential of a New Music Hub being smack dab in the middle of Central PA.

New Music Hub in Harrisburg, PA? Are you #$*@ing serious is a question I have been getting lately. Yes, Harrisburg, Yes, Hub, Yes Serious.

With the changes in fan engagement, interactions and relationships, the key location is being traded out for the location where you can get to as many places as often as possible to engage as many fans and listeners as you can, like Harrisburg may not currently be a booming metropolis of art, music or entertainment, but with the low cost of living, ease of travel and access to the east coast, it can serve as a great location to launch and establish your career.new music hub, loren weisman, hollywood, elephant, tag2nd

In the Solo or Band Touring Chapter of The Artists Guide to Success in the Music Business, I highlight how there are 25 key east coast cities are within a 300 radius of Harrisburg, PA. Living in a secondary market that may not have as much of a scene can allow for artists to save more money, while traveling more often and being able to reach more fans in more cities much easier.

Harrisburg, PA is not a music mecca by any means. And as much as it has a little music and some arts, it is not a city that would compare to a Nashville, LA, Seattle, NYC or New Orleans, but as a new music hub where bands can relocate, travel from and reach more and more places with more and more fans, it could become a spot on the map.

Beyond the idea of a New Music Hub, authors, artists, painters and others that are traveling to reach their fan base as they supplement with marketing online could benefit from a temporary residence of a location that can connect you with all of the east coast in a way that being in a bigger city or location makes more challenging and more expensive.
